This story from the Stevens Point Journal made me laugh:

"Under the rule, landowners, their family members and their employees would be allowed to shoot cougars in the act of attacking a domestic animal without advance permission."

Too bad you have to wait until the cougar has already attacked your domestic pet.

Actually, what made me laugh was that the newspaper made it sound like the cougars had to get advance permission to attack you or your pet.
