Since I feel like I'm always complaining about the weather, I thought I'd post some pictures to show what I'm talking about. I heard on the news this morning that we've had 54.5 inches of snow this winter. The first snowfall was Dec. 1 and most of it is still on the ground. We've only had a few days above freezing since then. But that's nowhere near a record. The record snowfall for here was the winter of 1995-96, when it snowed 90 inches. That includes 20 inches in April that year. I really, really am hoping that doesn't happen this year. I've had about as much snow and cold as I can take this year. I remember when the kids used to put their pajamas on inside out and go outside and do a snow dance. Anyone know of something that's the reverse of that?
The video is of the walk out our front door, down the driveway to the mailbox. The other pictures are of our backyard. We have a fountain out there that is basically four layers and snow is totally covering the first two. The snow is at the level of our deck, which is probably at least three feet off the ground. The last picture is of how our cats have spent the last 3 months.

Mom,
Let me share with you a poem I wrote on my magnetic poetry calendar.
Keep the breeze
gently playing
about you
For spring gives
sweet treats
to all
I'm not sure what it means, but it seemed to apply to your situation. Hang in there.
P.S. You have friends in Belgium?
No, no friends in Belgium. I presume it's spam and I'm going to have to go with tighter security.
