Our deer have been visiting us to pack on the pounds for the winter by eating all the acorns we have. They are pretty brave and don't scare away easily. They come right up to the deck and to the windows and porch. Rene is really tempted to try to catch one for our food storage. Maybe he could just chase it around the house. Oh, sorry, I forgot...that was Sarah's approach to the turkeys.

Here's something that I find totally baffling and sort of annoying. Why in the world do people who live in Wisconsin put fake deer in their yards? Wisconsin is overrun with deer. We have our own little herd that faithfully comes to our yard twice or three times a day. I'm sure the people who have the fake deer could look out their windows and see deer pretty much on a regular basis!
