Chocolate for Valentine's Day

I made these for the ladies I visit teach. I thought you might like to try them, too.

Chocolate Applesauce Muffins

1/2 c. cocoa

2 c. sugar

2 1/2 c. flour

1 1/2 t. baking soda

1/2 t. salt

Mix above ingredients. Add:

1/2 c. melted butter

2 beaten eggs

1 1/2 c. applesauce

Mix just until moist. Add 1 c. of chocolate chips and stir once. Spoon into greased muffin tins. Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes. Makes 2 dozen.
